Cisl and Confindustria discuss labor-industry pact in Modena
Representatives from the Cisl labor union and Confindustria met in Modena to discuss a proposed pact between employers and workers aimed at addressing Italy’s economic and social challenges.
Cisl General Secretary Daniela Fumarola emphasized the importance of participation, suggesting that involving workers in company management can help mitigate crises before they become irreversible. Fumarola called for a structural fund to support participation laws and urged for a rapid agreement with employer associations. Key demands include improvements in representation, collective bargaining, training as a universal right, and addressing workplace safety, noting that three deaths per day on the job is an unacceptable emergency.
