Cisl Sicilia urges regional government to focus on key priorities

The Cisl Sicilia trade union has issued an open letter to the Sicilian Regional Assembly and the Schifani Government, outlining a set of strategic priorities for the remainder of the legislative term. General Secretary Leonardo La Piana emphasized the need for political responsibility to ensure that the final months of the legislature focus on substantive issues rather than pre-election tactics.

The union identified several critical areas requiring immediate attention, including the establishment of a regional pact for quality employment, measures to prevent youth emigration, and the strengthening of healthcare and welfare systems. Additionally, Cisl Sicilia called for structural solutions regarding education, improved wildfire prevention and territorial protection, and strategic planning for the post-PNRR period to ensure investment continuity.
