Cisse Sandra discusses move from Club Brugge to Westerlo

Midfielder Cisse Sandra has stated he has no regrets regarding his summer transfer from Club Brugge to KVC Westerlo. The 21-year-old expressed that the move was driven by a desire for the playing time and confidence he lacked at his former club.

Sandra revealed that his departure followed a difficult period where he was excluded from the squad for two months despite maintaining his training standards. He noted that he eventually approached coach Ivan Leko to discuss his situation, which led to a brief return to the pitch, including appearances in the Supercup against Union.

Despite the move, Sandra maintains that he holds no grudge against Leko, noting that the coach had previously expressed appreciation for his qualities and effort. Sandra remains confident in his ability to compete at a high level.
