Cisumdawu Toll Road rest area targeted for 2026 holiday season
The Indonesian Ministry of Public Works aims to have the first rest area on the Cileunyi–Sumedang–Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road operational for the 2026 Christmas and 2027 New Year holiday period. Located at KM 203+800 on both Route A and B, the facility is intended to enhance driver safety and comfort during peak travel seasons.
As of mid-October 2026, construction progress for the rest area stands at 66.92 percent. While full completion is targeted for 2027, the functional phase will prioritize safe entry and exit access and secure parking areas. To accommodate travelers during the holiday period, temporary basic services will be provided, including portable toilets, mobile minimarkets, MSME (UMKM) areas, and temporary prayer rooms using tents.
Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that toll road development serves as an instrument for regional development and economic strengthening. The planned rest area is expected to eventually include permanent facilities such as gas stations, mosques, and culinary areas to support regional growth and traveler needs.
