Cité des Sciences à Tunis to host 23rd Night of the Stars

The Cité des Sciences à Tunis will host the 23rd edition of the ‘Night of the Stars’ on Thursday, August 27, 2026. This scientific and cultural event aims to promote scientific culture and astronomical heritage through various activities.

A central highlight of the evening is a scientific lecture titled ‘The Moon Tonight, Mars Tomorrow’ presented by Mohamed Abid, a Tunisian engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The presentation will cover new ambitions in space exploration, lunar missions, and the prospects for future human expeditions to Mars.

The event will also feature a science village, telescope observations of the Moon and Saturn, and a theatrical performance titled ‘Polaris: The Secret of the Phoenician Star,’ which connects ancient astronomical knowledge with Tunisian history. Various scientific associations and innovative partners will participate in the program.
