Citi introduces eligibility pop-up for Strata card applicants

Citi has implemented a new pop-up notification for applicants of its Strata card lineup to improve transparency regarding welcome bonus eligibility. This feature is designed to inform users if they are ineligible for introductory offers due to the bank's lifetime language rules, which prevent previous holders of the Citi Strata Premier card from receiving the bonus again.

The notification allows applicants to decide whether to proceed with the application based on the card's benefits alone or if the welcome offer was their primary motivation. This follows the expansion of the Citi Strata portfolio, which now includes a no-annual-fee Strata card, the $95 annual fee Strata Premier card, and the $595 annual fee Strata Elite card.
