Citilink expands flight routes from Bandung to five major cities

Citilink has expanded its national flight network by operating new routes from Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung to five major Indonesian cities. Starting August 17, 2026, the airline provides service to Medan, Denpasar, and Surabaya. Additional routes to Palembang and Balikpapan are scheduled to begin on August 18, 2026. These flights utilize Airbus A320 aircraft with daily frequencies.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan reported that 10 flights involving six airlines were scheduled during the Indonesian Independence Day holiday period. The local government plans to evaluate the sustainability of these regular flights over the next two months, assessing passenger numbers, flight schedules, city branding, and supporting infrastructure to determine if the increased connectivity can be maintained long-term.
