Citizens and Police Detain Two Armed Robbers in Huauchinango, Mexico
On June 5, citizens intervened when two armed men on a motorcycle attempted to rob a pedestrian on Bulevar Bicentenario in Huauchinango, Puebla. A passing truck stopped, and its occupants descended, confronting and subduing the attackers until police arrived. Municipal police secured the suspects, confiscated the motorcycle and placed the two men in custody. The state Attorney General's Office is investigating whether they belong to a local criminal gang amid a rise in street robberies.
