Citroën and DS Automobiles announce leadership updates and industry recognition

Citroën and DS Automobiles are implementing organizational changes and receiving industry recognition. In Austria, Raphaël Gaillard, who was recently appointed Managing Director of Citroën Austria, has had his responsibilities expanded to include the leadership of DS Automobiles. The two brands will now operate under a shared organizational structure in the country, a move designed to mirror the group’s headquarters in Paris. This integration aims to leverage synergies while maintaining the distinct identity and market positioning of each brand.

Separately, Xavier Chardon, CEO of Citroën and DS Automobiles, has been honored with the Eurostar Award 2026 in the Brand CEO category by Automotive News Europe. The award recognizes the brand’s recovery and strategic direction under his leadership, specifically focusing on making mobility more accessible and versatile. Chardon attributed the success to the efforts of the Citroën teams and the dealer network.
