Citroën ë-C3 Aircross owner disputes battery capacity

A Citroën ë-C3 Aircross owner has raised concerns regarding the battery capacity and range of their electric vehicle. The owner, who purchased the 113 hp Autonomie Confort model, reported that while the manufacturer advertised a WLTP range of 309 km, the actual driving range in real-world conditions has been between 220 and 240 km.

Diagnostic reports obtained by the owner suggest a significant discrepancy in battery capacity. While the vehicle was marketed with an approximately 44 kWh LFP battery, diagnostic data indicated a gross capacity of 38.112 kWh and an effective capacity of only 32.256 kWh. The owner also reported electronic malfunctions, starting issues, and energy loss during charging.

Although the Citroën network initially deemed the vehicle compliant with specifications, the owner has highlighted a reported 5.7% degradation in capacity after only 1,500 km. The manufacturer has not provided a formal explanation regarding these specific findings.
