Citroën teases new electric 2CV concept car

Citroën has released teaser images for a new electric concept car inspired by the classic 2CV, scheduled for official unveiling on October 12. The vehicle is intended to serve as an entry-level model for the brand, bridging the gap between the Ami quadricycle and the C3.

CEO Xavier Charandon stated the project aims to restore purchasing power for European consumers by providing a simple, intuitive, and affordable electric vehicle. The company has indicated a target price of under €15,000, designed to leverage EU regulations that encourage the sale of small electric vehicles produced within the region.

The teaser images highlight retro design elements, including dome-shaped headlights, a recessed bonnet line reminiscent of the original ‘tin snail’, and steel-style wheels equipped with Michelin tires. The design also incorporates modern features such as air ducts between the front fenders and the bonnet.
