Citronela Doc offers free online documentary showcase

The 6th Citronela Doc Documentary Festival is offering a free online showcase from September 1 to 10. The digital selection is available via the Spcine Play and todesplay platforms, providing access to award-winning Brazilian documentaries for viewers across the country.

Featured films include “A Pele do Ouro” by Marcela Ulhoa and Yare Perdomo, which examines the exploitation of women in the Amazonian gold mines, and “O Pai e o Pajé” by Iawarete Kaiabi, Felipe Tomazelli, and Luís Villaça, which explores the shift from traditional Kaiabi customs to Christianity. Other highlighted works include “Cordões e Sinos de Além-Mar,” focusing on Mineiro Congadas, and “Janelas da Memória,” which documents the 2010 floods in São Luiz do Paraitinga.
