Cittanova acting school sees surge in enrollments

The Scuola di Recitazione della Calabria (Src) has seen a significant surge in enrollments following its launch in Cittanova. The school is operating out of a former prison, which has been repurposed into a cultural center for artistic and theatrical training.

Directed by Walter Cordopatri, the institution offers workshops for all ages, covering disciplines such as body expression, diction, improvisation, and stage work. Additionally, auditions are underway for a structured academic program designed for professional training in acting. Cordopatri noted that classes are nearly full, reflecting strong local interest in utilizing the former correctional facility as a space for creativity and personal growth.
