City Fest documentary film festival announces award winners
The City Fest documentary film festival in Niška Banja has concluded its awards ceremony. The Grand Prix “Miroljub Jovanović Mika” for best film was awarded to "Ratni hirurg," directed by Nenad Petrović.
Other major winners include: - Best musical film: "Moj komšija Elvis," directed by Goran Lukić. - Best direction: "Svega će biti . . . Maestro," directed by Čedomir Marković. - Best sports films: "Bulevar Ivice Osim" and "Kobrin put do Zvezdara." - Best actors: Milica Dimitrijević ("Merošina, tamo gde legende hodaju") and Aleksandar Mihailović ("SPRZM 20. 26."). - Best screenplay: Vladimir Vučković for "Kralj Milan Obrenović i Niš."
"Moj komšija Elvis" is a Bosnian-Serbian co-production detailing the life of Sarajevo musician Duško Mandić. Following its success at City Fest, the film is scheduled for screenings at the Nišville Jazz Festival and the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival.
