City planner Müge Yorgancı Ozar dies during Tokyo-Istanbul flight

Müge Yorgancı Ozar, a city planner for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), passed away during a flight from Tokyo to Istanbul.

Reports indicate that Ozar became ill during the flight. Despite intervention by the cabin crew, she died before the aircraft landed in Istanbul. The plane proceeded to its destination without diverting to another airport.

Colleagues, including IBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat and Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA) President Buğra Gökce, issued condolences following the news. It has been noted that Ozar had been battling cancer for some time.
