CityRocks holds massive 350-person rock concert in Balatonlelle

The CityRocks music initiative recently held its tenth large-scale event at Napfény Strand in Balatonlelle, featuring a massive 350-person rock band composed of both professional and amateur musicians. The performance included covers of artists such as Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, and Linkin Park, with Tibor Bornai joining the ensemble to perform KFT’s ‘Balatoni nyár’.

Originally started in Szeged in 2017, CityRocks has evolved from a community rock project into an internationally recognized production with high online viewership. The initiative continues on September 13 in Szeged with the V. CityRocks Light Music Talent Search. In this competition, qualifying bands have 15 minutes to perform original songs before a professional jury. Winners of the Szeged round advance to the national finals of ‘Öröm a Zene’, where the top prize is one million forints worth of musical and sound equipment.
