Mexico promotes mediation through regional forums and national congress

Various judicial and regional entities in Mexico are hosting events to promote mediation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (MASC). In Chiapas, the State Judiciary inaugurated the 2026 Mediation Week to commemorate 15 years of implementing alternative justice, aiming to reduce court workloads through dialogue.

In Chihuahua, the State Judiciary hosted the 2026 State Mediation Forum, titled “Diálogo que construye justicia,” to discuss the impact of mediation on social fabric. Additionally, Ciudad Cuauhtémoc will host the 2nd National Tres Culturas Mediation Congress on October 22 and 23, 2026. This event will bring together specialists from Mexico and Portugal to address topics such as restorative justice, community coexistence, and digital transformation in mediation processes.
