A viral video recorded in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, sparked widespread speculation regarding a possible supernatural entity. The footage, captured by user David Echeverría, showed a dark, large silhouette with elongated limbs peering through a window of a building under construction, leading many social media users to compare the figure to a ‘nahual’ or werewolf.

Echeverría later released follow-up footage to clarify the situation, explaining that the sighting was not a paranormal event or a digital montage. The silhouette was actually an optical illusion caused by a large dog and its puppy residing in the building. The combination of the animals' posture and poor lighting created the unsettling appearance that had gone viral.
