Ciudad del Este municipality orders removal of electoral signage

The Municipality of Ciudad del Este has notified political candidates and propaganda organizers to remove electoral signage from public spaces. The deadline for voluntary removal is set for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23.

Following this deadline, municipal crews will launch a cleaning operation starting on San José Avenue and expanding to other major avenues. Mayor Pedro Acuña announced that the initiative, supported by Municipal Services and the Asphalt Plant, aims to clear political signage and other structures from the streets in preparation for the municipal elections scheduled for October 4.

The municipality specifically advised owners of wooden structures to retrieve them personally if they wish to reuse the materials. If the deadline passes without action, municipal workers will proceed with the removal.
