Tamaulipas implements Lazos del Bienestar health corridors
Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya and María de Villarreal, president of the Tamaulipas DIF System, led a 'Corredor de la Salud' (Health Corridor) in the Vicente Guerrero neighborhood of Tampico. This initiative, part of the 'Lazos del Bienestar' program, provides free medical services directly to priority communities to reduce travel costs and distances for families.
Services offered during the session included general medicine, dentistry, nutrition, vaccination, family planning, and maternal health screenings. Additionally, the program provided specialized diagnostic tools such as the iBreast Exam for early breast cancer detection, visual studies with free glasses, audiological assessments, and hearing aids. The strategy aims to strengthen social fabric through community organization and institutional presence in the state's priority polygons.
