Ciudad Juárez honors former municipal syndics

Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel, the Municipal President of Ciudad Juárez, led a ceremony to unveil the “Memoria de la Sindicatura” gallery. The event serves to recognize former municipal syndics who have contributed to the strengthening of the institution over time.

During the ceremony, the Mayor emphasized that the role of a syndic involves acting as the “vigilant eyes of the citizenry” within the City Council, providing a necessary counterweight for accountability and public service. He also acknowledged the initiative of Municipal Syndic Ana Carmen Estrada in organizing the recognition of those who have previously held the responsibility of ensuring public resources benefit the community.
