Heavy rainfall in Ciudad Juárez, totaling approximately 63 mm in less than 48 hours, has caused widespread damage across the region. The storm affected roughly 400 neighborhoods and 700 homes, leading to flooding, sinkholes, and landslides.

In the Águilas de Zaragoza neighborhood, a significant sinkhole measuring up to 4 meters deep and 8 meters wide formed on Alfredo Orta Street, prompting the preventive evacuation of families due to the risk of structural collapse. Authorities, including the Municipal Water and Sanitation Board (JMAS) and Civil Protection, are working to repair damaged hydraulic and sanitary infrastructure and manage water accumulation.

Mayor Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel has requested an emergency declaration from the State Government to address the 261 rain-related incidents reported across the state, 248 of which occurred in Ciudad Juárez. Municipal services are currently managing debris removal, drainage cleaning, and the operation of water tankers to mitigate flooding in low-lying areas.
