Ciudad Juárez offers 50% discount on will registration

During September, the Registro Público del Distrito Judicial Bravos in Ciudad Juárez is offering a 50 percent discount on will registration as part of the ‘Septiembre, Mes del Testamento’ campaign. The cost for depositing a holographic will has been reduced from 1,051 pesos to 526 pesos.

Roberto Antonio Silveyra, head of the Public Registry, noted that participating notaries are also offering preferential rates for public wills. The initiative aims to encourage families to organize asset distribution to prevent legal conflicts and inheritance complications.

Due to high demand, the registry is currently processing between 15 and 20 procedures daily. While capacity is limited, officials stated that individuals who complete their payment within September will retain the discounted rate even if their appointment is scheduled for October or November.
