Ciudad Juárez police arrest man for harassment and bribery attempt

Police in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Axel Andrés, following reports of harassment and attempted robbery. The incident began when a woman reported that a ride-hailing driver harassed her and demanded excessive payment for a service.

The situation escalated when the driver followed the woman to her residence in the Luis Solague neighborhood. Upon arriving at the scene, municipal police attempted to detain the suspect. During the encounter, the individual allegedly attempted to bribe the officers with $1,800 in cash to avoid arrest. However, authorities discovered that the 18 hundred-dollar bills provided were counterfeit. The suspect has been placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to face charges of harassment, attempted robbery, and possession of counterfeit currency.
