Ciudad Juárez police arrest three suspects in attempted homicide and two brothers with assault rifle

Municipal police of the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública Municipal (SSPM) in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, arrested three men after a reported shooting in the Infonavit El Jarudo colonia. The victims were located with multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspects—Andrés S. P. (23), César Adrián Q. G. (27) and Edgar R. S. (33)—were detained on charges of attempted homicide and threats.

In a separate operation the same police force apprehended brothers Javier Arath N. E. (21) and Sergio Manuel N. E. (26) in the Altavista colonia after they were seen brandishing an assault‑type rifle. Officers seized the 5.56 mm rifle, a loaded magazine and additional ammunition, placing the brothers under arrest for violations of Mexico’s Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives. No injuries were reported during the second incident.
