Ciudad Juárez reports no cases of property dispossession

Roberto Silveyra, head of the Public Registry of Property for the Bravos Judicial District, reported that Ciudad Juárez has not recorded cases of home dispossession or illegal property seizures, unlike the rising trends seen in Mexico City.

To prevent potential property crimes, Silveyra advised residents to ensure all legal documentation is in order and to verify that properties are properly registered in their names through notary offices or the Public Registry. He also emphasized the importance of staying current with property tax payments (predial) to avoid legal complications such as liens or seizures resulting from administrative omissions.
