Municipal Police Rescue Five Abandoned Puppies in Ciudad Juárez

Municipal police officers from the Secretariat of Public Security in Ciudad Juárez responded to a 911 call reporting five puppies left in a cardboard box at the intersection of Olmecas and Tlahuicas streets in the Azteca colonia. The officers secured the animals, interviewed a nearby resident who had found the box, and called the Directorate of Animal Care and Welfare.

Personnel from the animal‑care agency arrived, assessed the puppies’ health and transferred them to a shelter where they will receive veterinary treatment, food and further monitoring. Authorities emphasized the importance of reporting cases of animal abandonment to the emergency number.
