Ciudad Juárez road repaving project launched in 37 neighborhoods
The Chihuahua state government has launched a large-scale road repaving program targeting 37 neighborhoods in Ciudad Juárez to improve urban mobility. The initiative, part of the ‘En tu Colonia Cuenta Conmigo’ program, began in the Infonavit San Lorenzo sector with work on Canal de Corinto street.
In the first phase, authorities plan to intervene in an initial block of 10 avenues, covering approximately 60,000 square meters. The long-term goal for the remainder of the year is to repave between 200,000 and 300,000 square meters across the targeted colonies. These efforts will be conducted in stages and will be supplemented by ongoing pothole repair, park rehabilitation, and support for local schools.
This infrastructure project is part of a broader investment in Ciudad Juárez, which includes the construction of six bridges and various underpasses, alongside major water and sanitation works. Total infrastructure investment in the city is reported to exceed 2.5 billion pesos.
