Ciudad Juárez to host Fifth International Lucha Libre Festival

The municipal government of Ciudad Juárez has announced the Fifth International Lucha Libre Festival, scheduled for Sunday, September 27. The event will take place at the Gran Plaza Juan Gabriel from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will be free to the public.

Organizers stated the festival will feature 10 continuous hours of wrestling with participation from all local arenas in Ciudad Juárez, as well as national and international wrestlers. The program includes a Lucha Libre Museum, a photographic exhibition, Lucha Cinema, a gastronomic area, a Kids Zone, and live music.

Mayor Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel noted that the festival serves as a symbol of identity for the city and strengthens community ties. The event is supported by the local government, which officially instituted Lucha Libre Day in Ciudad Juárez in 2022 to recognize the sport's cultural contribution to the border region.
