Ciudad Juárez police detain two men linked to Fashion Mall homicide

Authorities in Ciudad Juárez have detained two men in connection with a homicide that occurred on October 7 at the Fashion Mall in Chihuahua. The suspects, identified as Carlos Alberto M. R, 25, and Francisco Javier M. M, 34, were intercepted on October 14 in the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood.

Following an analysis of video footage from the Centinela Platform, officers tracked a gray pick-up truck linked to the investigation. Upon inspection, officials determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in Denver, Colorado, USA. During the stop, officers also discovered approximately 46 grams of marijuana in the possession of the occupants.

The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the State Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público de la Fiscalía General del Estado, Zona Norte) to face charges related to drug offenses, the possession of a stolen vehicle, and potential misuse of identification documents.
