Ciudad Madero removes 24 tons of waste to improve public health
The government of Ciudad Madero has removed approximately 24 tons of waste and discarded items from 15 different locations across the municipality. The cleanup operation was conducted by the Department of Public Health in response to citizen reports submitted via the 'Atención Ciudadana' application.
Rubén Darío Leal Gómez, head of the department, stated that the routes were organized based on resident requests, specifically targeting areas where abandoned objects like mattresses, chairs, and containers could collect water. The Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood has been identified as a primary area of concern due to a high number of probable health cases linked to these accumulations. Other areas receiving attention include Vicente Guerrero, 16 de Septiembre, Luna Luna, and La Barra.
