Ciudad Real approves expanded Universidad Popular programming

The Ciudad Real City Council has approved the programming for the Universidad Popular for the 2026-2027 academic year. The initiative will offer more than 60 activities distributed across 116 groups, providing a total of 3,374 places for residents over the age of 18.

Vice-spokesperson Aurora Galisteo noted that the program represents both a quantitative and qualitative increase compared to the previous year. The curriculum includes training, cultural, and leisure activities covering subjects such as history, health, new technologies, dance, theater, and various arts. The budget allocated for this programming is 70,000 euros.

Additionally, the local government approved a technical report for a project aimed at regenerating the surroundings of the new Municipal Auditorium.
