Ciudad Real approves subsidies for celiac and gluten-intolerant residents

The Ciudad Real City Council is set to approve a new subsidy program to assist individuals with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. The initiative, managed by the Department of Social Services, Seniors, and Family, has a total budget of 20,000 euros.

Beneficiaries can receive up to 500 euros in a single payment to help offset the higher costs of specialized gluten-free food products. To qualify, applicants must be Spanish nationals or legal residents, be registered residents of Ciudad Real for at least the previous year, and provide medical certification of their condition. Eligibility is also subject to monthly household income limits.
