Ciudad Real hosts 5th annual charity race against cancer
The 5th edition of the 'Ciudad Real en marcha contra el cáncer' race took place at the Jardines del Torreón in Ciudad Real. Organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the event brought together approximately 350 participants for a day focused on solidarity and cancer awareness.
The program included a solidarity breakfast at 9:00 AM, followed by a non-competitive race at 10:00 AM and a participatory march at 11:15 AM. The morning concluded with a Zumba masterclass at 12:30 PM.
Local officials, including Mayor Francisco Cañizares and Social Services Councilor Aurora Galisteo, attended the event. Cañizares emphasized the importance of supporting the AECC's work in prevention, research, and supporting those affected by the disease. Miguel Ángel Galán, manager of the AECC in Ciudad Real, expressed gratitude for the community's involvement.
