Ciudad Real launches new gaming space for youth

The Ciudad Real City Council has launched a new Gaming Space at the Espacio Joven facilities to provide local youth with weekend leisure alternatives. The initiative, which responds to requests from the Youth Table, saw more than 180 participants during its first weekend of operation.

The program offers a mix of free play, competitive tournaments, e-sports talks, coaching sessions, and youth coexistence activities. Equipped with latest-generation consoles and screens, the space is managed by a specialized company to ensure a safe environment for participants.

The project includes 11 weekends of free activities running from October 2 to December 12. Due to the high turnout, the City Council is considering extending the initiative into 2027 to make it an annual program. The current project involves a municipal investment of 5,000 euros.
