Ciudad Real receives family tourism seal

Ciudad Real has been awarded the ‘family tourism seal’ by the Spanish Federation of Large Families (Federación Española de Familias Numerosas). This distinction recognizes the collaborative efforts between local administrations and the tourism sector to adapt services and make the destination attractive to all ages.

During a ceremony at the City Hall, Mayor Francisco Cañizares and Tourism Councilor Cristina Galán received the accreditation from the federation's vice president, Eduardo Galicia. The Mayor noted that while tourism is a fundamental industry for the city, establishing Ciudad Real as a family-friendly destination benefits both visitors and local residents who utilize the city's services daily.

The initiative began a year ago following a proposal by the Ciudadanos municipal group. The achievement resulted from technical work by the Tourism Department in coordination with local businesses and the Family Department.
