Ciudad Rodrigo average income rises 6% in 2024

The average net income per inhabitant in Ciudad Rodrigo reached 13,588 euros in 2024, marking a 6% increase compared to 2023. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), this represents a nearly 50% increase since 2015, outperforming inflation which rose approximately 23.5% during the same period.

Tax Agency data indicates that the average gross income for taxpayers in the municipality rose by approximately 5%, reaching 24,284 euros, while average disposable income increased by 4.3% to 20,453 euros. Despite these gains, Ciudad Rodrigo's income remains below both the provincial average of 15,458 euros and the national average of 15,948 euros.

The economic growth occurs alongside a demographic decline; the population fell from 13,052 in 2015 to 11,846 in 2024, a decrease of 9.2%. In comparison to nearby municipalities, Fuentes de Oñoro maintains a higher average gross income than Ciudad Rodrigo.
