Ciudad Victoria authorities implement reforestation and urban maintenance

The Tamaulipas state government and the municipal administration of Ciudad Victoria are conducting various environmental and urban maintenance initiatives.

As part of a collaboration with the Secretariat of National Defense, the subsecretary of Livestock and Forestry Development, Cuauhtémoc Amaya García, delivered 200 trees to the 77th Infantry Battalion. The species provided, including sabinos, walnut, and mesquite, are intended to strengthen the green areas and environmental conditions within the military complex.

Simultaneously, the municipal government of Ciudad Victoria, led by Mayor Lalo Gattás, has implemented urban upkeep programs. Recent efforts include over 33,000 linear meters of street cleaning, weeding, and pruning across nine neighborhoods. Additionally, the administration has focused on public lighting and road maintenance, installing 2,700 luminaries so far this year to improve safety and reduce vandalism.
