Ciudadela Petronio established as relief center in Cali

The Ciudadela Petronio, located within the Alberto Galindo Sports Unit in Cali, has been established as a strategic collection center to organize aid for families affected by recent regional disasters.

Local authorities, including the Secretary of Risk Management, are conducting in-person censuses and home visits to create a unique registry of affected families. This data is validated internally before being transferred to the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management. Officials have warned the public to rely only on official channels from the Cali Mayor's Office to avoid misinformation regarding unofficial censuses.

Citizens can participate as volunteers at the center during two daily shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Requirements for volunteers include being of legal age, having active health insurance (EPS), and wearing appropriate clothing such as long pants and closed-toe shoes. For security reasons, minors, seniors, and individuals with certain medical conditions are restricted from participating. Access is managed through Entrance 2 of the sports unit, with a capacity limit of 400 people per shift.
