Cives training course to explore AI ethics in Piacenza
The 26th edition of Cives, a training course organized by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, is set to begin on Friday, October 16, at the Auditorium Santa Margherita in Piacenza.
In collaboration with the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio and supported by the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano, the upcoming 2026-2027 season is titled ‘Intelligenza cercasi’ (Intelligence Wanted). The program aims to explore the complexities of artificial intelligence through historical, technical, and ethical lenses, moving beyond the simple debate of risks versus opportunities.
The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Lucio Caracciolo, director of Limes. The course intends to examine the relationship between artificial intelligence and power, emphasizing the need to maintain human centrality, rights, and social cohesion in an increasingly automated world.
