Civet de la Fonteta meeting promotes economic dialogue in Catalonia

The thirteenth edition of the Civet de la Fonteta, organized by entrepreneur Luis Conde in Empordà, brought together numerous political and business leaders to advocate for dialogue and consensus. Attendees included Catalan President Salvador Illa, Parliament President Josep Rull, and Spanish Minister of Presidency Félix Bolaños.

During his speech, Conde emphasized the importance of dialogue in a polarized political climate, particularly ahead of the upcoming general elections on November 29. He criticized the current public debate for being dominated by insults rather than constructive discussion, which he argued weakens democracy.

Conde also highlighted the economic significance of Spain’s peripheries, noting that much of the nation's talent is located outside central hubs. He pointed out that up to 22 Ibex-35 companies maintain significant links to or are established in these peripheral territories.
