Koalicja Obywatelska tops poll as scandal hits party and coalition talks intensify

A recent poll by Instytut Badań Pollster for Super Express shows Koalicja Obywatelska (KO) leading with 34.01% support, ahead of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) at 26.17% and Konfederacja at 13.93%. The same survey places New Left at 7.82% and other parties below 5%.

KO is also dealing with a scandal involving doctor Dawid Kacprzyk of the South Hospital, who returned 500,000 zł after correcting 33 invoices and was found to have earned over 1.6 million zł in 2025. Sociologist Przemysław Sadura described the case as isolated, not indicative of a systemic problem within the party.

Konfederacja leader Krzysztof Bosak praised the recent repeal of a law that would have de‑legalised much of Poland’s pyrotechnic sector and warned that KO politicians are “rude, vindictive and foolish.” He also said he would not rule out post‑election negotiations with Grzegorz Braun’s Confederacja Korony Polskiej, noting the unpredictability of PiS chief Jarosław Kaczyński and dismissing claims of U.S. pressure on Polish coalition choices.
