Cividale del Friuli hosts Lithuanian delegation for civic engagement study

A Lithuanian delegation of local administration representatives and community organizations visited Cividale del Friuli to study European models of civic participation and sustainable development. The visit, organized by the International Institute of Sociology of Gorizia (ISIG) as part of the European VoCo project, focused on promoting dialogue between citizens and institutions.

Key initiatives presented included the Natisone River Contract, a territorial cooperation framework established in 2017 involving 14 municipalities and approximately 30 entities. This program aims to protect the river and promote environmental valorization through a 2023 Action Program involving projects valued at approximately 50 million euros.
