Cividale del Friuli selected for Rai 3 village competition

Cividale del Friuli has been selected to participate in the new edition of ‘Il Borgo dei Borghi’, a competition aired on Rai 3 aimed at discovering and promoting Italian villages. As the sole representative for the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, the town will compete against 20 other villages, one from each Italian region.

Local official Giuseppe Ruolo noted that the selection follows the town's entry into the ‘Borghi più belli d’Italia’ in June 2025. The program will feature weekly segments starting October 18, with the winner of the 2026/27 title to be announced on Easter Sunday. A final recording session is scheduled to take place in Piazza Paolo Diacono on September 16.
