Cividale expands cemetery capacity with new burial spaces

The Municipality of Cividale has launched a plan to expand cemetery services to meet growing demand for burial spaces. An initial investment of 165,000 euros has been allocated for works at the Cimitero Maggiore, which are scheduled to begin following the commemorations of the deceased.

The project includes the construction of 36 new niches and 45 ossuaries and cineraria, housed in a reinforced concrete structure with a metal and Pietra Piasentina finish. This expansion aims to address the increasing request for urn and bone remains storage.

Additionally, the municipality is planning expansions in the hamlet of Rualis. Professional services have been commissioned to draft technical and economic feasibility projects for new modules of niches and ossuaries to ensure uniform quality standards across all municipal cemeteries.
