Civil Defence Punjab dismisses 12 employees and suspends 37
Following directives from the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Director of Civil Defence Punjab has initiated a major crackdown against corruption, malfeasance, and incompetence. As a result, 12 employees have been dismissed from their positions and 37 officers and staff members have been suspended.
The dismissals involve personnel from various regions, including Sargodha, Khushab, Multan, Lodhran, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Narowal, and Bahawalpur. Additionally, seven officers have been transferred. The disciplinary actions include the suspension of 9 chief instructors and 15 instructors across several districts such as Faisalabad, Okara, Sahiwal, and Lahore.
Suspended staff members include various roles such as assistants, senior clerks, rescue leaders, and drivers. The Director of Civil Defence has ordered all suspended personnel to report to the Civil Defence Punjab Headquarters, and relevant Deputy Commissioners have been notified to implement these orders.
