Civil Defence van stolen from warehouse in Telemark

An orange van belonging to the Norwegian Civil Defence was stolen from a Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) warehouse in Bø, Telemark.

Police were notified on Sunday morning after a trailer marked with Civil Defence markings appeared on a private property overnight. While authorities have recovered the trailer and an ATV that was on top of it, the van remains missing.

The stolen vehicle contained expensive equipment, including tracking devices and emergency communication tools. However, officials stated that the equipment is expected to be deactivated, making it unlikely that unauthorized individuals can use it. A key box at the site was found broken into, but no other items have been reported missing from the warehouse. Police are currently seeking tips from the public.
