Civil police officer involved in fight with teenager in Pará playground

A physical confrontation between a plainclothes civil police officer and a teenager occurred at a playground in the Praça dos Estudantes in Moju, Pará. The incident, which took place on the night of Thursday, October 22, was captured on video by bystanders.

The officer, identified as Givanildo Santos and known by the nickname “Gibão,” was reportedly wearing a shirt referencing Flávio Bolsonaro. Witnesses and video footage show the officer, who was armed with a firearm at his waist, engaging in a physical struggle with the adolescent on the playground equipment and the ground. While the officer did not draw his weapon during the fight, the confrontation took place in front of other children.

Following the incident, Santos released a video on social media admitting to the altercation and stating that he had also been assaulted. He claimed the dispute began after teenagers provoked him regarding his clothing and because they were occupying a space intended for younger children. He noted he was accompanied by his two daughters at the time. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances and the origins of the conflict.
