Civil Protection members undergo emergency training in Spain
More than 60 members of various Civil Protection groups are participating in specialized training courses in Castilla-La Mancha. The training sessions, held at the Escuela de Protección Ciudadana, focus on two primary areas: basic training for new volunteers and sanitary logistics for managing multiple victims during large-scale emergencies.
The basic training course, now in its 24th edition, includes 52 participants from 15 locations in Toledo and one in Ciudad Real. This 60-hour program is delivered through a hybrid model of in-person and online instruction to facilitate learning while minimizing travel. The goal is to equip volunteers with the skills necessary to operate safely in emergency situations and support firefighters, medical personnel, and forestry teams.
Emilio Puig, the Director General of Citizen Protection, attended the start of the activities, highlighting the altruism and commitment of the students to improving community safety.
