Civil Public Education Platform criticizes education ministry communication
The Civil Public Education Platform (CKP) has criticized the Ministry of Education regarding the communication and implementation of the 2026/2027 school year regulations. The CKP noted that only a small fraction of their proposals submitted during social consultations were included in the final regulations.
While the ministry did adopt the proposal to regulate both public and vocational education institutions within the same decree, other key suggestions regarding competency measurements, first and second-grade assessments, and National Career Orientation measurements remained unchanged.
The CKP reported that many of their suggestions could not be implemented within the current regulatory framework as they would require legislative amendments. Regarding the regulation of exam breaks in vocational training, the government is reportedly seeking alternative solutions, such as increasing the number of free days per exam and supporting organizational solutions.
